Recommended for recreational and professional athletes
Sports massage is recommended for both recreational and professional athletes. It helps keep your muscles in top form! It prepares muscles for increased exertion, strengthens and makes cartilage tissue more flexible and improves bone density, thus counteracting injuries. And after training? It helps to get rid of post-workout muscle soreness more quickly. It brings relief to tense muscles and blockages in the body. Eliminates the effects of overtraining and fatigue.
Book a treatmentProvides support for muscle and whole body recovery during the training cycle and after intense exercise. It allows you to recover more quickly from injury by improving the strength and mass of muscles that have been damaged. Sports massage is an integral part of an athlete’s training and wellness programme. Increased form, better fitness, fewer injuries – these are the effects that sports massage provides. Studio Sante Spa offers different types of sports massage: conditioning, training and recovery – our therapists will help you choose the most suitable offer for you.
Sports massage is characterised by a slightly higher intensity and pressure than classic massage. It incorporates elements of isometric massage, strengthening weakened areas and increasing muscle strength. Sports massage is recommended for physically active people, as it prepares the muscles and skeletal system for intense activity, and is indispensable for their recovery as part of biological regeneration.
Sports massage can be performed at different stages of the training cycle and for different purposes. At Studio Sante Spa, we select a sports massage and its type taking into account the client’s expectations and goals, as well as their predispositions: the sport practised, the stage of training, age, gender, body weight.
It is carried out during the detraining period, during breaks between competition starts, at the beginning of the season or after the season. The aim of such a massage is to keep the musculoskeletal system, circulatory system and nervous system in shape. The sports conditioning massage helps to maintain the performance inherent in a period of intensive training through the oxygenation and detoxification effect on the body. The massage therapist uses all the techniques of classical massage, making this the gentlest of sports massages. Recommended frequency of treatments: every two days or daily.
It is performed at any time during the training cycle, a few hours after training. The aim of such massage is to increase the body’s capacity and keep it in high shape for competition. The most important training massage techniques are rubbing and kneading. Although its intensity can vary depending on the sport and the individual athlete’s predisposition, it is classified as intense and less comfortable than a maintenance sports massage.
It is performed immediately after exercise until about 1-2 hours after exercise, and in between starts. The aim of such a massage is to restore the body to its pre-exercise state. Post-workout sports massage allows for a much faster recovery than passive rest. The masseur mainly uses kneading and rubbing, paying particular attention to areas of the body in need of regeneration.
