2. Clear Skin Program: Acne Therapy

• How it works: The therapy combines blue light (465 nm), which destroys C. acnes bacteria responsible for inflammation, with red light, which accelerates healing and soothes redness.
• Results: Elimination of acne-causing bacteria, reduction of inflammatory lesions (papules, pustules), calmer skin and faster epidermal regeneration

• How it works: We use near-infrared light (NIR 880 nm), which penetrates tissues up to 25 mm, stimulating ATP production in mitochondria and improving microcirculation.

Safety & Contraindications

The treatment is painless, requires no downtime, and is safe for all skin phototypes. However, the following contraindications apply:

• Pregnancy: Not performed on the abdomen or breast area during pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Epilepsy: Not recommended for individuals with a history of seizures
• Cancer: No treatment over areas with active cancer or metastases
• Photosensitizing medications: Consultation required (including injectable steroids)
• Children: Not performed on infants or children under 12 years of age

How do red light and infrared light work?

Red light (640 nm) and near-infrared light (880 nm) are absorbed by, among others, cytochrome c oxidase in the mitochondria, increasing ATP production—the cell’s primary energy source. As a result, skin cells regenerate faster, produce more collagen and elastin, and respond better to inflammation. In practice, this leads to improved skin density, smoother fine lines, and faster recovery after invasive procedures.

Why does blue light work for acne?

Blue light (465 nm) mainly affects the epidermis and targets acne-related bacteria that produce porphyrins, which are light-sensitive compounds. When exposed to blue light, porphyrins generate reactive oxygen species that selectively destroy bacteria, reducing inflammatory lesions. The combination of blue and red light allows for simultaneous bacterial reduction and enhanced healing while calming skin redness.
